Jesus Prays For You

31”Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has asked excessively that [all of] you be given up to him [out of the power and keeping of God], that he might sift [all of] you like grain,    32But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren.”      Luke 22:31-32    Amplified Bible

Peter is being told that he is about to sifted like wheat by the enemy, for sure not the kind of report that you want to hear about.  But I love the way Jesus responds as read in the Amplified Bible.  He tells Peter that He has prayed especially for him!  Jesus was and is the Word.  Whatever He speaks, is the Word, the final Word.  He is also the creator of the universe and God in the flesh.  If God, the creator of all things, has prayed for you then what have you to worry about in this life, or regarding anything that the enemy brings to you in this life?

There is only one conclusion and that is victory and deliverance, as long as you believe it.  If Jesus has prayed for you then it is done.  The Father answers every prayer of the Son.  That is all that Peter needed in order to stand in faith, to stand in peace, and to stand in victory.  Because Jesus is the Word and as He spoke this, it was the Word of Jesus invested in Peter.  Peter was already victorious, he just did not see yet.

Jesus is the same with us today, He is praying for us personally and directly.  We don’t often think about that, but it is true.  Jesus is interceding on our behalf all the time!  Hebrews 7:25 says: “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Jesus is personally praying for you and whatever you face today.  Insert your name instead of Peter’s in this verse.  “But I have prayed especially for you, __your name here__”. Wow, that is a powerful realization.  Regardless of what you face today Jesus has already provided the victory for you, and just as with Peter. He is praying for you that your faith will not fail you.  In other words, He is praying that you will be strong in Him to stand against the appearance of things, and believe the promise He has already invested in you.

Jesus has prayed for you in whatever you face today and He has prayed that you have the strength of faith to stand until you realize that victory.  He has made it easy. Don’t make it hard, just thank Him for what is yours and receive it, regardless of how things appear.  If the creator of all things has prayed for you, then it is already done!
