7\u00a0\u201c<\/sup><\/em>So let<\/em> each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8\u00a0<\/sup>And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 2 Corinthians 9:7-8\u00a0 NKJV<\/p>\n If you look at the economy of this country or the world\u2019s economy at any one point in time, you will have a reason for uncertainty.\u00a0 At certain moments, looking at the health of our economy can cause outright fear.\u00a0 No matter how hard you try you can never secure your economic future because so much of it is out of our hands.\u00a0 Much depends on the health of the economy around us.\u00a0 That is why we should desire to be connected to God\u2019s economy and not the world\u2019s economy.\u00a0 In God\u2019s economy there is never a recession or depression.\u00a0 He is a God of abundance and always has more than enough.\u00a0 So how do you move your economic future away from the world\u2019s economy and into God\u2019s economy?\u00a0 Verse 7 above says that we make that decision when we make the determination to give.<\/p>\n When you purpose in your heart to give with the right heart, you have successfully moved your ties from the world\u2019s economy to God\u2019s economy.\u00a0 He is then able to make all grace abound towards you financially so that you will always have all that you need for everything that you desire as well as enough to give away.<\/p>\n If you go down a few more verses we learn that, \u201c\u2026 He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness\u201d.\u00a0 <\/em>In other words, when you determine in your heart to be a giver God is free to supply you with both seed [or money] for you to sow to His good works and He supplies money to meet your needs personally.\u00a0 And the money that He supplies is not tied to what the world\u2019s economy is doing.\u00a0 And because it is in His economy, He will personally multiply that which He is entrusting to you.<\/p>\n So the question that you need to finalize in your mind is \u201cWhich economy am I tied to right now\u201d?\u00a0 Is that the economy I want to be tied to?\u00a0 If you are not satisfied with the answer you conclude, then perhaps this is a good time to make the determination in your own heart be a giver after the heart of God.<\/p>\n J Todd Hostetler<\/p>\n
