Sight Comes When You Call

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).”       Jeremiah 33:3   Amplified Bible

Life seems to have those unanswerable questions.  You are uncertain about the future and what directions you should take and this not knowing can be very unsettling. The result is that this then affects every other part of your life.  There are questions that are unanswerable in our natural wisdom, but that does not mean that you have to live in constant uncertainty.  The prophet Jeremiah gives us some hope and direction when we face those unknowable answers.   Here is the good news: your Father, who loves you and knows you because He created you, and who has specific purposes for your life, said He would personally show you the way.  All the pressure can come off when we look at Him.  He said that He would answer all of your questions, every one of those nagging thoughts that you can never resolve in your mind. He can answer and will.  Call upon Him!   Seek Him with these questions but seek Him from the position of one that is in good standing with Him.  Too often we approach Him with a hopeful heart of desperation. As a joint heir with Jesus, we should seek Him as one who has good standing with Him.

Call to Him and then wait.  It may not be crystal clear right at that moment, but in the hours and days that follow your calling upon Him, the realities will begin to surface in your thoughts and your soul.  You will just begin to know the things that you need to know.  Then when opportunities come, you will either know that this is the direction to go or you will have already seen it and been waiting for it to come because He has shown you already.

I know that you have prayed and asked for His guidance before, but this says we should do something different; we are to call upon Him.  That is a total dependency in the inquiry, but it is also a seeking that is accompanied with faith that He will answer and direct. He will show you things when you ask and when you expect that there will be answers.  Maybe it will be in a dream, perhaps it will come in a vision of clarity during the day, maybe it will be just a sense of knowing, but you will see great and mighty things.  His ability to know what awesome things are ahead for you and He desires to share it with you so that you can be at peace with the direction He has planned for you.

The things that you desire to know and need to know are beyond the realm of human comprehension. They are “fenced in” and as such you cannot discern these things on your own because they are hidden.  They will only be revealed when you call upon Him and wait with expectancy.  The things that you seek and that things that you need to know to move forward, you simply do not know and can not know in the natural, but you can still know them as you call upon Him.
