Open The Pipeline Of Finances

“And God can make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.”    2 Corinthians 9:8    Amplified Bible

It is easy for us to misunderstand God’s view of finances.  The reality is that God wants you to be prosperous in all areas of your life, including finances.  If finances have always been an area of struggle for you, if you always seem to be coming up short, then this verse is one that you should take to heart.  God wants you to have prosperity but it is not so that we might squander it on selfish desires, but that we would be a vessel through which money could flow through to advance the Kingdom of God.

The verse above says that God can do all this for you.  The indication is that it is a small matter for God to do this and that He desires to supply your needs in abundance.  The determining factor is us, are we able to receive what He has for us?  It is when God knows that He can trust you, and you, in turn, can trust Him in the area of your finances, that you will see the change in your financial situation.  It may seem impossible to you because finances and debt have been such a longtime burden to you but look at the first line above once more.  It says that God is able to get to you, “every favor and earthly blessing”.  That is amazing!  You have to know that the favor of God is going to encompass a lot of really good things.  What do you need in your life?  His favor will go before you in any area of need to bring about resolution.  Then add to that the fact that He is able and willing to pour out to you every earthly blessing.  That covers all of your need including finances. All you have to do is position yourself to receive it!

Here is the position you need to be in to receive the above spoken of favor and blessings, be a pipeline for money.  That is what the remainder of the verse is talking about.  God will make you self-sufficient. In other words, you will not need to count on anyone else to get you out of financial trouble.  You will not need to look to parents or friends, the bank or the US to be your source. You will be self-sufficient in the blessings of the Lord.  You will possess enough to meet all of your needs (and here is the key), have enough above and beyond to support the work of God through your church and other ministries that you have the heart to support financially.

You see when it comes to money you have to be a pipeline.  The money that God entrusts to you does not stop in your possession but it moves through your hands and into the works that bring others into the presence of Jesus.  A pipeline means that money goes through you, it just passes on to the places that you direct it.  If you stop the money with you then the pipeline has stopped, the flow has ceased.  If the money you have is never quite enough, then maybe too much of it is stopping with you and discontinuing the flow.  You can get the flow going once more from the source by letting the money move through your hands, down the pipeline, to others.  The pipeline of God handles more money than you could possibly require or need, you just need to get it opened up!
