Fret Not Over Evil Doers
“Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb”. Psalm 37:1-2 NKJV
The reality is that we live in a time and in a culture where there is much evil. There are many people who have evil intentions and would not hesitate to do us harm in order to get what they desire in life. And there are people around you with evil intentions towards you. Do not be surprised or shaken by that. Instead be aware of your position of deliverance in the Lord, and the results they have at the end of the matter as that is where they have been placed.
Is there is someone right now that is engaged in evil activities against you? Do not fret because you belong to Jesus and He holds you securely in His hand. According to Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Know this and see His miraculous deliverance that will shock both you and the one working iniquity against you.
If we believe this promise of the Lord then we have no reason to fret regardless of what anyone else may do to us. Learn not to fret today if an evil-doer is attempting to bring you harm or take something from you. Make the decision of faith not to fret and then you can enjoy comfort and peace as you watch Jesus deliver you in ways beyond your imagination. Don’t fret. Watch Jesus move for your good and to His glory.
When we get ourselves beyond our fears and worries, then we can see the outcome of those who plot evil against us. The Bible says that they shall soon be cut down like grass! When I take my eyes off of my fears and know that Jesus will deliver me from any evil plans against me, then I can see the sad end of those who work to such evil ends. They are not going to succeed in harming me, but their efforts will result in their defeat. By attacking you, a child of God, they are not harming you they are sowing their seeds of destruction.
When I come to the point of knowing I am secure in the righteous right hand of God, then I can look beyond my self-centeredness and see with empathy what my attacker is about to reap. When you can see this truth, your thoughts of anger and revenge against the evil-doer is mitigated by your empathetic compassion for them.
I remember a woman years ago, who attempted to bring harm to me with evil words and accusations. Because I could see the harvest she had planted for herself and what she would reap, I no longer had anger towards her only empathy. I reached out in love because I did not wish to see her suffer the results of her actions. But she rejected Jesus and reaped what she had sown while the Lord delivered me. Do not fret or fear those who intend to harm you, lift them up with a heart of compassion and prayer for their deliverance in Jesus.
