Finding His Path For Your Life
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11 NKJV
The verse above is a reminder that He will show you the path for your life. Most of us worry about how we will find that path. It is not up to you to find the path, only to stay on the path of Jesus. He will lead you to your path and show you what you could not ever possibly see on your own.
Start today, again tomorrow and again the day after that with the knowledge, certainty, and assurance that the pressure you find on your path is not on you but upon Him. You don’t have to know what path to take or where that path is. He knows and will show you when you are transferring your trust from your abilities and placing them upon Him. All you have to do is get up, thank Him for the day and the steps you will take today. Each step you take today gets you that many steps closer to the path He has for you and the perfect plan for your life. Don’t waste your time being worried about not being able to see what the path is. Just walk the steps He has for today and in a few more days you will have taken steps to arrive at the path He has prepared and chosen for you, the path that only He could see.
If that can be your outlook upon getting yourself ready for each day, then that “fullness of joy” spoken of in verse 11 above, that joy that is exclusively in Him, will be realized in you each and every day. The pressure is off of you.
This verse ends with, “at your hand are pleasures forevermore”. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father and from that position, He has established all the good things, the victories, the pleasures forever. These are all placed with Him there in the heavenly realm. The good news is that through Jesus Christ that is also your position, seated as a joint heir with Him. You are seated there right now, and with Him, all the heavenly pleasures belong to you. He has your path, so just be seated with Him in all those pleasures of Jesus, as you await the path He has for you, the path He is leading you toward day by day.
