Commanding His Hand

“…And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.”   Isaiah 45:11      NKJV

This verse is one of those beautiful and powerful verses that most people miss.  In fact, they often try to avoid it because it seemingly goes against their image and understanding of God.  When you see it and understand the power and the promise that lies within those Words, it is truly liberating and encouraging.

So often people read that and get upset because you cannot tell God what to do.  How arrogant to assume that we could command the creator of the universe!  We do not give Him orders that He must obey!  They fail to understand what God is saying and promising us through this verse.  We are not commanding God to do our bidding, like “God make my savings account double overnight.”  No, we need to understand that God has set up for us all that we need to walk in victory in every area of our lives.  It is all established for us and simply waiting on us.  However, we are the ones that must move on these promises and in this power.  God can do nothing without moving through the faith of men.  All the good things that we need are already there for us, but we must move.  It is the power of God moving through us just as it says in Ephesians 3:20:

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”

The power is already established, but it is the power that works through us!  All that you need in your current situation is already established for you, but the power to bring it to pass is in you.  He only moves through us.  So when God says in Isaiah 45:11 that we should command the work of His hands, what He is saying to us is “Find the Word, the promise to stand on and then stand on it”.  As you stand on His Word your faith is, in effect, releasing Him to bring about the good things that He has already prepared in your life.  His hand is poised over the completed work and ready to release it at the unction of your faith.

“Commanding” His hand to move is just allowing the power that is in you to work through you, commanding the authority He has invested in you through Jesus. What He has done in the spirit realm can be done in the physical realm.  He cannot move except through our faith, and when you stand on the Word in faith you release Him to do what He desires to do and has already provided for you.

Apply this Word to every situation in your life and watch His promises come to pass. He is just waiting for you command His hand through faith to move for you.
