A Key For Healing
“And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 13 Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him. 14 And He charged him to tell no one, “But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as a testimony to them, just as Moses commanded.” Luke 5:12-13 NKJV
In Luke chapter 5 we find this man with leprosy comes to Jesus in need of a miracle of healing. These two verses shared above give us a vital key to receiving the healing that is already given and established for you in Jesus.
The first thing we often fail to understand when we are need of healing is that it is always His desire to heal. We have to know that Jesus desires to see us made whole in our bodies. We need never ask Jesus if it is will for us to be healed. We know the answer to the question already because we see it answered in these verses. The leper asked Jesus if He was willing to heal him so we often wonder the same thing. Perhaps we feel unworthy and so we are not sure if Jesus would be willing to heal us. I think most of us believe that Jesus can heal. The problem for most of us is that we question whether He is willing to heal us specifically.
Jesus answered the leper definitively and it is the same answer you can hold onto because it is His answer to you when you wonder if Jesus is willing to heal you. His answer was a resounding “Yes!” We need to remember that His healing is not based upon our worthiness to be healed, not one of us is worthy. His healing is based upon His love for us and His sacrifice. By His stripes, we were healed. His healing has already been done for you. Not only was He willing to heal, but He has also already provided for your every healing. You just have to believe it and receive it. You no longer need to ask or wonder if Jesus is willing to heal. He has told you, He is!
After Jesus had healed the leper, He instructed him to go and show Himself to the priest and to make an offering as a testimony of His receiving. Know that Jesus is not only willing to heal you, but your healing is also already done in the spiritual realm and just waiting for you to receive it in faith. The best way to bring those things that are already established for us in the spiritual realm, into this natural realm, is by our words, offered to him in praise. Our praise is a testimony to others of the goodness of Jesus and our statement of faith that we believe His Word, His promises, even His healing in our bodies.
Please know that Jesus is more than willing. He has already provided healing for you. Now in faith speak words of praise to Him affirming your thankfulness and step into the healing He willingly provided for you.
